$500 raised for a great cause

The charity auction run on Trade Me for a website package valued at $1,500 is now over and the winning bidder paid $505 which will go towards World Vision and the 40 Hour Famine 2010.  The auction was run by Studio 2 LIVE’s Matt and Dayna.  The website prize was donated by The Web Company and Adage Business & Media Service

The 40 Hour Famine is on 21-23 May this year.  You can do it on your own, with a group or with your school mates.  All you have to do is get people to sponsor you for going without something you find difficult to give up for 40 hours.  All money raised goes towards the great work that World Vision do around the world working with children, families and communities to overcome extreme poverty and injustice.

The Web Company’s Director Patrick Howard is delighted with the money raised.  “This is such a great cause that we didn’t have to think twice when approached to put forward a prize for this auction and we are looking forward to getting started on the winning bidders new website”
