About Sunderland
The Sunderland School is contributing something special to the Waitakere community. With a strong focus on high quality education and stellar achievement in academic, sporting, and cultural pursuits, The Sunderland school is fostering excellence in its pupils.
Sunderland is an independent school based in the Waitakere City region for children aged ranging from Year 1 to Year 11. Based on the motto of “Aspire, Succeed, Respect”, Sunderland provides all of its students the opportunity to achieve their potential and fulfil their promise.
Sunderland offers an extensive range of activities to ensure its students have an education experience second to none and one that sufficiently prepares them for the future. Whether kids are participating in academic, cultural, or sporting activities, the emphasis is on the 6 core values taught and upheld at Sunderland:

These values are key to the growth of the individual student and to the success of the school as a whole.
The school, which is conveniently located on Waipareira Avenue in Waitakere City, added Year 11 to its ranks in 2009 and will add students in Years 12 and 13 in 2011.
With the support of our annual sponsorship, we hope that the success of this special school and its students continues to make its mark on Waitakere City. We will look to extend our sponsorship commitment even further in the years to come through individual sponsorship opportunities of Sunderland students.
